Misfire
I've noticed lately I get a slight skip on initial acceleration from stops. If I apply the brake in drive and run the motor up anywhere above 1400 I loose #2 injector pulse (nothing slight about the skip when this happens). For some reason the pcm seems to shut it down. I hate to think it's the pcm, but can't imagine it's normal at this rpm.

Your in luck! I have been there and fixed this problem!!!
The very first thing that you need to do is listen for the spark! If it is leaking, you should be able to hear it. I do it in the dark or in a dark garage. If that fails, remove each wire and inspect the entire wire!
Look for things like this:
Looks normal right?

[/IMG] This is an insulation break down and caused a High Voltage leak and a miss under load.
Your wires are spiral wraped wires and the conductor is a very thin wire wraped around an amrid cloth core. This winding is supressive and works very well "unless it gets broken.
Good GM AC Delco wires read 250- 750 ohms from end to end. If your reading in the meg ohm range the wires are TRASH!
You could also have a BAD PLUG like the one pictured here:

Wires and plugs were my first thought. I've replaced both, but no change. I also swapped two coils and still no change. I've checked the wave-form and freq. on the ref wire from the pcm to the coil (very stable). I plugged a noid light in #2 injector plug, and it looses pulse completely if I load it up in gear (dead skip).

IT'S great when your wife gets involved in your quest for more HP! She puts most guy's to shame with her engine knowledge and troubleshooting skills!!
