Actually, you aren't giving facts. True HID's are not blue because of a tint, they are blue beacuse of the phosphors in the bulb. I'd also like to know where you got the reference to heat being higher as mentioned previoulsy in the thread.....from REAL WORLD experience and not hearsay, I can tell you that my HID's run much cooler than my stock Halogens.
Yes darling i know that they are not blue because of a tint, however some fakes are.
"TRUE HIDS" is the key Yes i know what real hids are and what applications they are to be used in. Not the stock housing of the vette that is for sure. As far as running hotter, on the wire is what i meant to say.

Yes i know true hids are not tinted blue. What i stated was correct that they are not meant for the housing of the vette and you are taking apart a hid bulb and retrofitting it into a connection for the bulbs in the vette. THey can cause problems with the current draw and the pop up lights.
Happy now? There are certain precautions anyone who is interested in them should know about. SO why all the fuss about giving that information out? They do not look good to me, I know what a true projector hid operation is and throwing these in the stock housing is not it.
bro, I got 10k, 10,000 miles on them with no problem! hehe! I have the 6000 k kit . Yes as you stated, I want fashion and function too. Should we just pull them out now and see who's is biggest? Thanks for the lauph bro, and by the way sweet ride!
I appologize, I misunderstood your post.
I updated mine with the E-code glass system w/ upgraded wiring and high wattage bulbs. I think this is what people get confused about heat, these lights put it out. Too much for the stock plastic housing.
I would really like (time permitting) to retro an Audi projector HID into the housings. This won't work well with the E-Codes unless I do Bi-Xenon. Then you have to deal with the glass housings.

RICE is all i have to say
Nothing wrong with info. It's speculation meant to be made to appear like fact that shouldn't be spread.
Allow me to pass out the zanax. I cant believe my car is rice because of my headlights that are HID. Oh well, I guess i better take my wing and neon lights off!
