I think he means piston to valve ET. If that is what you mean, that is usually refered to as the minimum distance between the piston and either valve at some point near top dead center. The minimum depends on the type of valves and pistons. Stock minimum p/v is usually .080" on the intake and .100" on the exhaust. These are suggested minimums and some go smaller but IMHO unless you are using forged internals it isn't wise, and not much smaller than that. The main issues involved are component expansion due to heat and connecting rod stretch.
