Someone posted this last week so I decided to try it. Man, let me tell you that simichrome on CCWs is absolutely insane. The shine is far superior to that of mothers polish. For anyone with CCWs I definitely recommend this. NO more mothers mag and aluminum polish for me...

Most bike shops carry it. I got a couple of smaller tubes for about 5 bucks each at Biker's Dream here in Atlanta. It's a cutom chopper shop which sucked because then I wanted to buy a chopper when I walked in and saw all the cool bikes they had. Killer Creek Harley nearby carries it too but they were out.
ET compared it to both. I have some Wenol I want to test it against next weekend.
Please post results as I currently use Wenol on my rim lips.
You got it.
I applied it by hand according to the instructions. It's virtually the same in it's application as Mother's but it's consistency is softer and creamier. You don't use very much.
I use a terri cloth and very little simichrome. It seems to go along way.
It leaves the wheels with a MIRROR finish. I couldn't believe it at first.

here is a testimonial for simichrome..
BTW I have been using this stuff since the late fifties.. we use to polish our corvette valve covers to a mirror finish with this stuff..
here is a nice comparison picture:
Note the mirror like finish inside the spoke at 12 o'clock.. note the reflection of the drilled holes and slots..
Then note the the finish inside the spoke at 5 o'clock , this was done with Mothers ...This picture made Patches a believer.
It also leaves a thin protective film that resists oxidation on metal. When I sanded the rear tail lamp, side marker and backup lenses to remove the DOT casting numbers this polish brought the finish up like glass.
Thanks all. I have been wondering what to use on my 505A's. I just put them on my Z about a month ago and I have to tell you they look great but they are tough to clean. I heard from other forum members that they were very happy with blue magic so I purchased and used the product. Frankly I was unempressed. It left a film on the wheels and it was difficult to get water spots out. Have often do you have to use the semi-chrome and do any of you clean inside the rim. It's really tough to get in there? Any other tips I need to know in using semi-chrome to keep the wheels looking like new?
How does this stuff work on polished wheels that have lost their shine?
I've got Centerline Hellcats on my truck that are a beatch to keep shiny, I was go to use Zymol but then I started to research and found out it doesn't last very long either.
i used to use it on all my show rides, and even when i polished out my sportbike frames. it is by far one of the best products out there- Mothers does not even come close. there is one other brand out there that is hard to find, but does a great job, too. the key is to use cotton diapers since they are so soft, and to finish with a good metal sealer. this will preven water spotting as quickly.
