Default Oil on spark plug tip and threads...

I pulled my spark plugs to throw the -8s in and found that #3 had some oil residue on the electrode and threads. Where could the oil be coming from?

If it's limited to one cylinder I'll venture that one possibility is the valve seal. Intake PCV would be more widespread thoroughout the cylinders.

Definitely a possibility if your intake runners are massively ported like mine. I pulled all the rocker bolts and put sealant on them after finding globs of oil on the backside of my intake valves after only a few hundred miles after my h/c job. Again, I would expect to see this in multiple positions if this were the problem.

I used a dab of HT RTV near the very top of the thread and it worked well but I'd probably use the 242 if I were to do it now. I was out of it that day. The RTV worked nicely as I checked my runners again recently when I did the Z06 PCV mod and they were clean.

Thats exaclty what I was thining when I read the title to this thread, use ARP thread sealer on your rocker bolts if you have any porting done and I know your heads are far from factory
