Default Are dynatech longtube headers any good?

I might be able to get a sick deal on them, they are dynatech longtube headers. Its ok if they aren't the absolute best, but if they are crap I don't want to waste my money. Are they ok? Thanks. They are going on a procharged car, btw.

Word from several of the forum members is that the Supermax headers are good. You can hook up all four O2 sensors and are made of stainless steel. The only drawback is that they are heavier than the stock or LG headers.

There was also an issue with them hitting the steering shaft. I contacted Dynatech on this recently and they told me they tweaked the design to prevent this. The set you are buying may not have this tweak. Most who had the problem stated it occurred on hard turns. There have also been a few who reported problems with the front O2 sensors hitting the tunnel plate. This is likely a bigger issue on a thicker plate should you be considering this mod as well. Everyone who has them seems happy with the quality and the system, but there have been some quirks.

No problems here. I just installed them with a thicker chassis plate. No contact there, no steering shaft contact and a clean install overall. Quality is good on the headers and the entire system.

Haven't dyno'd mine yet, but there has been plenty written on this forum about the Dynatechs and all the other competitors' products. Here's one current thread.

Seat of the pants feel is stronger, sound through even stock Z06 exhaust is sweet and engine response is much quicker and stronger. I plan on having it dyno-tuned soon and will have more info.

The fitment is very nice and they make pretty good power. I will see if I can dig up a dyno graph with them. We did a set last month on a stock '02 Z06, I remember it made nice power. I will try to find that graph and post it.

Thanks

Yes, please do. I appreciate it. I am considering putting them on my procharged vette, I don't know if that makes any difference.

I run the Dynatechs along with my ATI D1SC. The Dynatechs are very good headers. If you can get a good deal I say go for it.

Ok. I haven't ever heard anything about them, so I just wanted to make sure they aren't complete junk. I'm glad someone is running them trouble free. If I can get the deal, I'll probably go for it.
