Newbie Question...
I know that this question has been beaten into the ground, but I'm going to try it once again. I've got a 98 C5 with a terrible idle/miss problem. My only mod is a Blackwing, and the problem was present before that. I've changed plugs and wires already. I have a nice carbon build up on my exhaust pipes, and I also pretty good gray smoke screen during hard take offs. I get no error codes either. Any ideas on where to take this one?

You'll get a better reply from a member but how about dirty or clogged fuel system. Start running some Chevron fuel system cleaner and then the injector cleaner. Eliminate one more possible cause and give your some fresh plugs, wires and do a clean-up on the air intake side of the motor.
