Ecklers is selling this VHP Torque Converter for 596.00. It has a 2800 stall speed. Dose anyone have any input on this, was thinking to run with my soon to be installed 342 gears, currently have 315 gears.
I have never heard of this brand of T/C. Installing a T/C on a C5 is not cheap I would stick with a T/C that is well known. If price is an issue you can buy a new Vigilante T/C for 699.00. The extra 100.00 will buy you piece of mind and a free restall if you decide you want more or less stall.

I've done a lot of business with Vinci High Performance and anything they sell has been tested and proven to do what they claim. they have a great service department that is ready to help on any problem. Gary
Yank is a very good converter and the 2800 is a good base upgrade for those wanting nice driveability. Check out this sale with Yank direct. Just scroll down a bit to the Stealth C5 2800. Maybe call Yank and see how much difference there is in the specs to warrant the extra $200.
the VHP converter has the carbon ceramic clutches in it and it's a 1.97 STR. called and spoke with joe and roger briefly about it. found out some more on it. the VHP is a posi lock up with ceramic clutch, and high capacity stator. things the stealth doesn't have.
the stealth that Yank sells for $383 doesn't http://www.converter.cc/yank_vs_competition.htm
