Hi All,
I have a 2001 vert and the other day I got in it went to start it and it started to kick over then just died. Completely dead with no juice, I went to check the battery connection and it was fine but while I was checking, the power came back on, so I went to start it and nothing again. I noticed a humming in the console area. Does anyone have any ideas here?
I've had this happen before, what happened to my was the battery terminals dug grooves where they connect to the battery, so even when the terminals where tight they still did not make good contact with the battery. If that is the problem then all I can sugest is to loosen the terminal and retighten it with the cable turned a little to the left or right. Or find a lead washer to put inbetween it .
I'm RIGHT HERE! Sounds like a battery cable /connection to me. Do an extensive check on the cables and battery terminals and make sure that they making proper contact. Torque the treminals to 13 foot pounds!
Please let us know what you find out and if you have any more problems after that.
