Default Newbie with a few questions.

Hello to all. Im new to the corvette world and have a few questions.I have a 95 impala and am a regular to the impalassforum and i hope this forum is as insightful and helpful as it is.I just bought a 2000 Corvette and was told it was stock.Ive noticed it had an aftermarket intake and it raised concerns.Im not familar enough with the ls1 as the lt1 but im almost sure they dont have stock headers either.Mine has what seems to be shorty headers but a stock exhaust. My question is do the c5 come with manifolds or headers stock.Ive done a couple of searches but found no pics of stock manifolds. It only has 23000 miles on it and runs like a dream but seems to have a little extra than others i drivin. It feels more like the 2 zo6's i drove. Not quite but almost. Thanks in advance.

Congrats on your new purchase..... Corvettes come with manifolds. What kind of intake do you have. Even with an intake and exhaust (headers) your car still wouldnt be as fast as a z06. The cam is larger in the z06 and the heads flow ALOT better than the Ls1 heads. If you can post a pic of what you have I am sure we can help you.

First of all is your car an A4 or an M6? If your car runs as good as you say it does you might be lucky enough to have bigger gears in it to go along with the air box and headers.

Congrats on your new ride Can't tell from your pic which aftermarket intake you have. There are a lot of different ones out there. Blackwing, Halltech, Vortex, Vararam, K&N the list goes on....

Congratulations on the purchase. There are a lot of good people on this board and they will be glad to help. As you were told, the manifolds have been replaced with headers. I personally do not know for sure which brand of headers you have, but they may be from B+B. If you get a better shot of the air intake some one will be able to identify it.

99% sure those are B&B's, the same thing I put on my 2000. IMO, the best shorty headers out there. Most of the others (JBA, etc.) don't make a serious attempt to significantly improve the flow over the stock manifolds.

Cats look stock, however the x-pipe is definately aftermarket. Looks like the previous owner has given you a good start on mods. Next time it's in the air check the tag on the differential, if you're lucky you'll have a 3.42 gear set. That mod alone will significantly improve the performance of an A4 C5! Have fun!
