Default Flowmasters?

Question - I have a 2000 coupe. Love the car but need a better sound. Only problem is I am working with a serious budget. Got house and kids on the way.

I would love to get a full exhaust system but $850 - $1G won't fly with the wife. Is there a cheaper alternative to get good idle and rev sound while not making much more cockpit noise at highway speed? I was just on this site's store and saw flowmaster mufflers. Is this a good or bad idea???

Please let me know your thoughts....

Now you have got my attention

Is there anywhere I can surf to listen to what it would sound like? Not to be picky on a good deal (believe me, you just made my night) but the wife has to approve of the noise she will be "subjected to" while we drive. And I am always curious as to how it will sound at idle or during rev.

First I understand your situation and thats why I try to bring affordable pricing to upgrades.

For the sound clip, I don't have a sound clip for that exact kit. Magnaflow does have some clips on their website but not for that perticular kit, but it might give you an idea of what it will be like.

I would suggest making a post for the magnaflow and asking other members who may have the kit for a sound clip. We also carry other brand names so if there is something else you are interested in please let me know...

Thanks,

That's a killer deal! Catback AND x-pipe?!?!? How come it doesn't work for the 97-99's?

Yep this is the most cost effective kit I carry. I'm also not jacking up the price. I'm a new business looking to grow my customer base and I want your business. If there is anything you are looking for please let me know and I will do my best to find it and set you up with a good deal.

Thats what I was wondering, it's listed on www.magnaflow.com that it's for 00-up possibly there is a difference in the stock cats I would think it has somthing to do with the X pipe setup because I believe you cut the stock pipes and it clamps on. I would say if you are interested in this kit e-mail them and ask them about the fitment and what is different.

To save money check out the Parts section. Lots of slightly used catbacks for sale. I've seen a number of Borla setups going from $350-500.
