Under drive pulley

Under drive pulley
Will an under drive pulley set help out an A4 C5 much. I have been told by a few not to do it cuase it will hurt more than help. Has anyne done this? If so did it hurt or help? It might be something I would do over winter if it will help out at all.

Not worth it by itself IMO. Not an easy job either. Now, if you were doing a head/cam or stroker then I would do it just because it easy to do at that point. It's good for a few hp................overrated IMO.
BTW: I have one and it has not affected ANY systems on my car in the least.......

Just got it done and driving back in the South Texas heat didn't notice any difference in my A/C's cooling ability, which is good. Voltage seemed a little low but I have noticed the hotter it is the lower the volts and it was hot that day!! I would say it was good for maybe 5 HP, maybe....
