Default Column Lock Recall Question

I had the recall service done. They also performed "Reprogram V1145". Does anyone know what's included in this reprogram? Thanks.

You have a 6 Speed, so it's probably this one that modifies the PCM to cut fuel under a corner case that originally was not considered:

I had the recall "reflash" done on my 2000 C5 MN6, and the car seems to run more rich, but also makes much better power. That also means less pinging, detonation, and knock.

I noticed this particularly, since I have the Donaldson Blackwing, no MAF screen, BPP plastic MAF ends, etc., etc., and the car would not, after the reflash for example, idle anymore without stalling until the temps went up (yes, I did the idle relearn). c4c5specialist, who did the reflash, confirmed that the A/F ratios were also changed.

The car always ran fine with that setup with previous PCM upgrades, and I have been pretty religious about installing the periodic reflash (not just PCM but other modules as well) that GM provides on a CD to their dealerships, and have nothing but positive things to say. For example -- the gas sensor issue is another item that is addressed as part of a reflash.

Particularly if you have an older car, why nor take advantage of it -- it makes it run and operate better. There's no downside, unless you have a custom PCM tuner program.

Think of it like upgrading your version of Windows. Why keep running Windows 95, when Windows XP Professional is available. OK, well maybe it's like going from XP base to say XP Service Pack One.
