Default Heads I Win

What is the expected RWHP increase from new set of heads, such as the APR 205's or 5.3L heads?

Probably directly related to other mods you have done. I am curious too as I have been told it is what is "holding me back".

There will be other mods but I wanted to know what power change could be attributed just to the head change.

I have been told the weak point in my setup is the heads. I have a MTI G1 cam, Kooks 1-7/8 headers and X-pipe with cats, LS6 intake, U/D pulley. I have been told 30+ HP depending on which heads. Numbers are misleading though, IMHO. PM me if you want details.

Dennis,

With your goals in mind I would consider the following combo:

3600 converter, LT headers (Dynatech or Kooks), and a *streetable* cam (perhaps something in the 224 range).

You might pick up 10-15 hp with a decent set of heads on a stock car - not much bang for the buck without a cam or FI.

The AFRs are great heads, but you will not see great results unless you go with a big cam. Alot of AFR cars are putting down ~430 rwhp and they are running cams in the 228 228 range. You will have to go bigger to break the 450 rwhp mark or more.
