Is there any way to clean the Blackwing without having to re-oil? Looks like mine picked up a lot of pollen on the front only.

Go to Autozone, get the K&N recharge kit. Wash it in your wife's kitchen sink, let it dry and re-oil. Use of only Donaldson oil is a myth to get you to buy theirs. K&N oil is fine, been doing it for years and so have many others.

or go to a motorcycle parts store and buy the cleaner by the gallon for about 10 bucks and the oil by the quart for about 10 bucks.

While on the subject of the Donaldson Iam thinking about buying one
but I would like to know if the blue air filter element extends all the way
around to the bottom of the filter or is it just on the sides and top ?
The photos I have seen are topside only. Has anyone tied not oiling
the filter after cleaning for increased airflow ?

Thanks >>>>> INTHERED
