I need to replace my front passenger turn signal bulb. Can anyone tell me how this is done? I would like to do it myself if possible and avoid a trip to the dealer.
Turn on the headlights and back off one position to turn off the lights.
Remove the 3 screws on the plastic headlight cover and remove it. Reach down around the light unit and unclip the lamp holder. Replace bulb and reassemble. 10 min job.
One Note: Make sure the bulb is seated tightly in the socket. During my replacement effort the bulb fell out of the socket and into the lens housing. :o It was stranded there until I took a vacuum cleaner hose to the housing opening and sucked it out.
I have noticed through this forum that a number of owners have been repeatedly fighting this lamp burnout problem. My DRL on the left front has burned out 3 times so far this year, but the right front has been ok. I am guessing that the seal around the lense is bad and I am getting water in there during rain and car washing. My guess is your in the same situation.
When the bulbs in the headlight need replacement is that a trip to the dealer?
How about the rear lights when those bulbs need to be replaced I heard it is $400 a trip to the dealer.

I'll do it for for $399, and I'll throw in a beer! If someone charges you more that $10 to change a rear light, you've been screwed. Buy yourself a set of torx screwdrivers and spare bulbs. Just unscrew the two screws, grab the connector and turn 1.4 turn AFTER you unlatch it. Install in reverse.
The turn signal and DRL's are the same bulb. I had to replace both the right and left side last summer. If you don't want to take much of the car apart and f you have small enough hands, just push the front brake cooling ducts back, up and out of the way. Then you can reach in and twist the socket out of the housing and pull it down to the duct opening to change the bulb. After you put the socket back into the houseing, you can pull the duct back around the opening.
It probably took me longer to type this than it will to change the bulb. Since my hands are large enough to make things too tight, I got my 12 year old son to help me. It's that easy.

Do you approach this from the front of the duct or rear, nearest the tire?

I too have replaced my passenger side DRL 3 times this year. It's currently out which drives me crazy! I'm assuming I have a leak too. I'm going to try LEDs instead of lamps. I would think the LEDs would not generate near as much heat and therefore might survive contact with water from time to time. I'll post the results as soon as enough time has passed.
thanks kc, i also just noticed that the daylight running light is out too. I wonder if this is a fuse? anything else i should check???
Thanks again
same bulb
I recently had both of mine blow... physically. Glass all over the housing.
replaced both. You gotta have small arms to get to the passenger side bulb.
a few weeks after replaceing both, my passenger side exploded again.
