Get the best tires for your driving style and budget
I am getting toyo's in z06 size.
The price is almost as good as Kuhmo's and they have a better wear number.
I bought a set of Avon from Tirerack, I was trying to get the Khumo's but they had a three month back order when I was ready to buy, they suggested the Avon's. When compared to the stock run flats I absolutly love them.... The ones I have are NOT run flats however so be mindful of that.
I just got the Nitto 555's and I love them! Handle great, launch great, quite on the road. Discount Tire has them on their site stock sizes front $112.50 and rears $205.

Got rid of my factory Goodyears five weeks ago, replacing them with Michelin Pilot Sports All Seasons (A/S). Love the Michelins. Got them from the Tire Rack. After putting them on, just returned from a one month, 8,525 mile trip around most of this great country. Wow, to now be able to have a quiet conversation in the car, to hear the exhaust and stereo. Love the Michelins!!! Ran into a couple inches of snow in Flagstaff, tons of monsoon rains in Arkansas and Oklahoma --- no hydroplanning, no sliding, just quiet great performance. Recommend the Michelins highly unless you are looking for out and out track performance.
Bishop! I am considering these and would be most appreciative for some more of your thoughts on these tires. Can you please provide more feedback as far as differences in ride quality/comfort, wet/dry handling, etc.? Thanks!
(I don't think I'm thread hijacking, am I?)

I was thinking of going with the michelin pilot sport A/S tires as well. Anyone else have any feedback on michelins? In my shop we swear by michelins on most vehicles.
I just went through this. First you must decide your wheel size. I bought new wheels. So if you are open to other than stock sizes the Pilot A/S has the best ratings. If you want to stay with stock wheels and runflat the Firestone is best. But I went with the Goodyear F1 GS D3s. Talk to Tirerack.com. They were great to me!!!! Also they have a site where you can compare feedback.
For Autocrossing/DE the BFG KD's are best for the C5 followed by the Goodyear and Kuhmo. For all weather driving I would go with the Michelin or BFG KDW's. The last two are probably the same compound as they are both made at the same plant.

Now I have the Nitto 555 Extreme ZR's and they are fine for a stock to slightly modded C5. I am now overwhelming the rear tires and need to upgrade to the Nitto Drag Radials or the Pirelli PZero Corsas. It really depends on what mods you have and are planning to do in the future.
