I am going to put Sport Brakes drilled & slotted rotors on my 02 C5. Thought I would upgrade the pads by installing new Z06 pads. I've read on the Forum that the rotors are the same, so the pads should be a direct repalcement. Is this a correction assumption? I do normal street driving with less than 12 runs at the track.
The Z06 pads will be a direct drop in replacement. They do offer better stopping power than the non - Z06 pads. This extra power comes at a price - the pads are very dusty and are noisier than the stockers. You will find your self cleaning the wheels MUCH more frequently. I swapped for the GM ceramics on my Z06 because I got tired of cleaning the wheels every week.

I found this to be true after the swap. DOes the ceramic pads stop as good as the Z06 pads?

Thanks
from the treads that i have read ceramic pads DO NOT give the braking coeffecient of non ceramic. go to z06vette.com and do search on pads youll see. Performance friction pads seem to be a top rated pad, avaible at auto zone.
