Home made LS6 pvc mod

Has anyone drilled and tapped in a port into the lifter valley cover instead of buying the LS6 cover? I believe I am going to do it this weekend. Any forseen issues??

I did the valley swap not long ago. The Z06 cover has a built-in element that probably filters the oil mist before exiting the cover so I'd be wary of porting that stright to the valve and intake without some sort of filter element. I ported it through the valve and to a catch can. Here are a few pics of mine.

For the minimal price of the LS6 pieces, why risk a homemade mod?

I wouldn't do that if I were you. Just go and buy the part from GM parts direct. You will have to modify the block depending on what year car you have, but it is worth it.

I did a mod similar to this but before you start do a search for a members named benelliwang, he has a complete post on the mod.
