Default "service engine soon" prompt

I started up this morning and this prompt "service engine soon" came on the DIC.
Also my traction control and ABS control light stayed on.
Along with DIC prompts of service traction control, service ABS
They both went off after a few minutes of driving.

I know I must take it to the dealer but what can I expect for them to tell me, I do not wanna get stroked, well maybe to 427 but that's another fantasy...
any help here is always appreciated
Thanks,
Jeff

My traction and ABS lights come on from time to time when I first start the car. My cure is shut the car off, and restart it. That seems to always take care of the problem. Just seems to be a random computer glitch.

Remember the DIC is your friend!!
Use this link to find out what codes were thrown.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1

Reset and see if they come back..Some of the members are really good when it comes to diagnosing those codes!!

Check the two ground connections under the hood, on top of the frame rails, right behind the head lights. They have what looks like 10 wires running into them. Take the connector appart and clean the contacts, this took care of my same issue.

You really need to read and post the codes here on the forum to get to the bottom of what is causing the problem in the first place. You will probably see a lot of HISTORY codes listed! Always write down what codes are displayed (i.e. 10 PCM 1204 H C or BCM 2214 H or LDCM 1455 C ect ect)

Then clear the codes and the next time the check eng light comes on you can see just what is happening.

Post the code/s here.

DTC errors can be caused by a whole host of things!

Default thanks all!

I have not had any more problems since my last post. Although I will get under the hood and check the connector,
if it should happen again I'll write down the codes and post.

Thanks for the link I downloaded the pdf
