Valvetrain?
If not, what parts do I need to replace to make it stronger?
About how much will it cost?
And, how much horsepower do you think I'll gain with an upgraded valvetrain?
Thanks in advance!

If you get a cam, also get the manufacturers coordinated cam kit which will consist of springs , retainers, keepers, correct length pushrods, and presumably new roller followers (which may not be necessary on a newer engine with less than radical cam). Most street/strip type cams use the existing rockers if the're in good shape or stock replacement rockers if worn.
The hp increase for a cam only on a stock engine would be in the range of 15 to 40 HP. As other mods are done the increment of increased HP from a cam will increase.
If you stay under 6500 rpm you should be ok.
Don't modify your system with high ratio rockers and bits and pieces here and there.
Use a complete kit purposely designed by a cam manufacturer for your type of intended use.
And of course, as with any significant mod, a good dyno tune by a knowledgeable tuner.
