C5 Keyless entry Modification

I have a 2001 and want to know if I can modify the entry system to upgrade it to the system that the C6 uses ie: keyless, handsfree

I SERIOUSLY doubt it! The 97-2000 and the 2001-2004 systems are so different that the FOB's and TPM sensors are NOT interchangable!

The C6 electronic layout is more than likley so different that they probably dont even use the different modules for all of the functions.

My '97 has passive/active or keyless entry, when did they stop this as option on C5?

Its easily done with aftermarket alarms

DEI electronics makes these, They make viper ETC, From what I understand it is $500 a door (both doors have to be done) and $500 for the push button starter.

Only thing I can see you doing wrong is replying to a 21 year old (!!) thread. Other than Bill Curlee, most of the people you're quoting haven't been on the forum for 10 or 15 years. Better to start a new one of your own......
