I'm sure you meant .030" which would give you 408ci with a 4.00 crank.

But I haven't heard yet if you can go 030" over on the LS2 block.

But without an overbore the factory bore is 4.00"

Bore---Stroke---CI

4.00" X 4.00" = 402.12

4.00" X 4.125"= 414.69

4.00" X 4.250"= 427.26

There are 2 6.0 blocks. The iron block and the ls2 block. Depends on which one he is talking about.

From my experience, the added stroke is not worth much hp so I would stick with a 4" stroke and a 4.0 bore on the ls2 block and 4.03 bore on the iron block.

sorry for the confusion... i am talking about just buying a 6,0l truck block and then putting a stroker kit in it.... what would be the most economical (haha...econmical) way of doing this and still haveing a decently reliable machine for max effort. looking for 400+ cubes and 500+ hp with patriot III heads and some type of comp xer cam or LG cam.... what yall think??

thanks

I'd say the most reliable way to do it would be the 408. You will have no problems hitting 500+ rwhp with a decent cam and heads.

408 is a 4" crank and a 4.03 bore

You can get an Eagle rotating assembly shortblock for around $4000 but some people dont like Eagle. You can get a Callies shortblock for around $4800 or so.
