So is it worth the extra $100 or so to have your headers coated on the inside as well?
Yes, rust/corrosion is as likely (more likely even?) to develop on the inside of the headers as it is on the outside, especially on a garaged/'dry weather only' car. Condensation/moisture can build up throughout the entire exhaust system and even gather or 'puddle' in one area in some cases, even coated mild steel headers can (and do) still rust but the coating will slow the process.
I'd coat inside and out or just get (304) stainless headers.
If you are using a ceramic coating, coating the outside is really only for appearances. The inside coating is the one you need to get any gains. It keeps the heat in the exhaust gases and makes it much harder to transfer that heat into the steel. Coating the outside would still allow the exhaust gas heat to be transfered into the steel(thermal coefficient of ceramic versus steel, ceramic will not conduct heat as fast).
The inside of your headers are just as likely to corrode or rust. The pipes get hot and cool and with condensation you will have problems from the interior out. If you don't plan to keep the car for a long period it won't be an issue.

Explain why you say yes/no...
I didn't realize that you could get them coated for that cheap. I have a friend who had a C4 and to get his headers Jet Hot coated cost him near $400.00. As I think about it, the speed shop where I have my car dynoed installs Stainless Works headers which are 304 stainless. If you want them coated, and some people do, then they charge another $400.00.
If you can have it done for $100.00 thats a great price.

My studies in this area suggest that you would like to retain as much heat as is possible inside the exhaust system (also makes the cats work better and quicker).
From fooling around with motorcycles I understand that inside coated is waaaay better than just outside coating. This also allows your chrome pipes to be chrome on the outside and get the advantages of retaining the heat on the inside.
I am curious as to what made you choose the SuperMax headers over the others you have been so carefully examining.
