radhunter,
Vert or Coupe? My 2004 vert has covers for the wells in the trunk, which make a big reduction in road noise? Check to see if they are secured down. Also, there is sound deadening material in the carpeting behind the seats, which the dealer may have forgetten to replace when he fixed your sensor.
Being that the rear wheels have to be removed to service the pumps - Did he swap the right and left rear tires? As you probably have directional tires on there just go check and see! That can be noisy!
You can check for swapped wheels by adding or removing air from one of tires, taking it for a short drive and see if the tire that had the air pressure change is displayed correctly on the DIC.
I have on 03 convertable that is very noisy, I have seen the 2.5 inch fgoam barrier advertised to go in the trunk area. Anybody tried it does it work?
Thanks,
George
I just got one this week. It help a little: @70 mph before was right at 101 Db, now it dropped to 99-100 Db... not much, but the sound muffled which does help.
Now the bad news, on my vert, you have to push it back into the trunk area when you drop the top because of the 2.5 inch thickness the back of the top will not clear all the way. so I am going to try a thin partition and cover it with sound deading, along with the rest of the inside of the car.

I'm on Thanksgiving vacation right now without the Vette. Never thought to check the wheels and tires like some of you guys are suggesting. But will do so as soon as I get back and let you know how things work out.
