Started my car up in the garage and noticed bad valve tap noise. The low oil pressure message came on. I hit reset and the DIC indicates NO oil pressure. I checked the oil and it's fine. The only thing I can think of is the oil pump has gone bad. The car is an '04 Z with less than 7k miles. I'm thinking I'll have to tow it to the dealer. Anyone else had this problem?
Man that SUCKS! Call GM road side and have them flat bed it or get a hold of the dealer and tell them to COME AN GET IT!!
Please let us know what they find wrong!

I had the oil pump go out in my '99 Camaro SS with less than 20k miles on it. I started up after work one day and saw 0 oil pressure. No unusual noise from the engine. I immediately turned the car off. I thought maybe the gauge was messed up. I started the car again and still no oil pressure. I had the car flat-bedded to the dealership and they replaced the oil pump under warranty. They inspected the engine and there was no damage. After the new oil pump, everything was great again. Hopefully, your story turns out as well as mine did.
