Default AMS Rear ticking and leaking

I bought an AMS rear from Darren about 5 months ago when I broke my output shaft. It has a harden outputshaft, 3.90 gear set, & DTE strut brace. I drove it easy for 600 miles and took it to the track in late Sept. The car just wasn't getting good times on Drag radials and the clutch was slipping.

I didn't drive or look at the car since then because I was busy with moving to a new house. Last weekend I was able to lift the car up and check it out. Upon inspection I found out that it is leaking from the rear cover. On top of that, it is making this faint ticking sound when I rotate the wheels. I will try to fix the leak with a new gasket but I am concerned about the ticking sound. Is that normal? Or is it the speed sensor?

Thanks

P.S. I called AMS but it wasn't answering it's calls. I left a message...

I dont want to freak you out or anything but AMS has been pulled as a supporting vendor. I've seen on other boards that the have closed their business and filed for Bankruptcy Alot of angry customers

Yeah, I just found out through searches here. The rear sounded fined at first though... I just want to know if that ticking is normal or not...

Sorry to hear about your problems. I also bought a diff from Darren last year. Mine also started leaking and it was the rear cover. Upon removing the rear cover I found out why it was leaking. They did not put a f@!#ing gasket there. Talked to D and he said that he would reimburse me for repairs. Guess what? Never got any money from him for repairs. I had to pay all expenses for repairs out of pocket. So much for their warranty. In my book AMS sucks a$$
