It's just starting to get cold here, so yesterday I crank up the thermostat and the left and center vent blows cold air while the passenger vents blow hot air. I have the dual climate control. Anyone heard of this issue?
Also, when I turn up the fan, it makes a chirping noise. TIA!
There is a procedure for resetting your HVAC control circuit It involves pulling some fuses and then reinstalling them. I will try to see if I can figure out which fuses and post them later.
As for the fan noise, GM did not put any kind of screen over the air intake and sometimes junk and trash can get into the fan. It could also be dry fan motor bearings.
I recommend taking the blower motor out and examining the fan and motor. WARING! Disconnect the battery first! If you ground the fan housing the motor will run!!!!!!
You may find trash in the blower motor housing. If not the motor bearings may be causing the problem.
