Remove key and wait 10 sec.????
I started my 97 and it started then, it said "remove key and wait 10 seconds", then the engine died. I did what it said and it ran fine, this happened 4 times so far. What's the happs?

The resistor that is embeded in your key connects to some electrical contacts inside your ignition switch and is part of the vehicle security system. If the resistor is dirty or it didnt make good contact inside the ignition switch the security system will ask you to reinsert the key. If you do not or do and the resistance is incorrect the security system disables the fuel system if the car is moved. Usualy about 3-5 feet.
You have a couple of options. Clean the resistor contacts on the key, use your spare key or you could have a bad ignition switch and it may need to be replaced.
