You posted this in the General C5 section too! Read those responses. Your car is HEAVILY modded and you expect GM to take your word for it that you didn;t do anything to the car? Not going to happen!
Sorry.. but if you're gonna play, you have to pay...
Those mods void the warranty big time... I feel for you man.. but don't blame the General....

I would not expect them to do anything else. They are running a public business not sponsors. If you took it to a dealer and he did something for you fine. You really can't blame the dealer it would be fraud on his part. What if the guy lost his dealership for your problem? If you can afford to mod you can afford to pay, risky business. May be if it had headers or something not so radical.
well, i took advice on shop it was sent to-take the motor to dealership for quick replacement **its apart where they can see what happened and i will not have to wait a month for the motor**( NOT )-otherwise it would have went to GM..does not matter whether it was modified or not--the engine was never opened up and the any modification i did--DID NOT cause the cam bolts to back out..My only mistake was not taking it to GM when it happened..I originally thought it was from one of my mods ** thats why the car was sent off to be fixed--was told it was #7 and it was common***but when i found out it wasnt, i took the advice of shop to let them take motor to dealership in which GM (now i know) has the right and proper procedure to pull it and disassemble it to find the problem--when they saw it--they said no warranty-didnt even care why it happened-no warranty because it was disassembled and they didnt do it.(i did not know this as said went from what shop said) .So its not me trying to pull the wool over anyones eyes and all the negative thoughts--i see why you would think that but it doesnt help to ask for any type of mental/knowledge support and get trashed..Makes me think twice about owning a product i have had wished/dreamed for since a kid..I am stuck paying for a new complete motor--Thanks for all insight END OF STORY...Thanks, Dave

I guess some don't think you or the tuner are that naive! I think you got the sympathy you deserve from the CF members.
Sorry, sometimes the truth hurts.
Did you really expect GM to warranty a motor that had been disassembled by another shop??? I mean, seriously, think about that for a second. They have no way of knowing what's happened, all they know is that you have a disassembled motor that has problems. If you wanted it done under warranty, your first shop should always be the dealer. If they turn you down, you can always take it somewhere else...but you can't take it somewhere else, then to the dealer (especially in peices!!!).
I can see it now...you go buy yourself a new sony tv. You hook up a DVD player and then your TV breaks...you somehow imagined the DVD player did it, so you took it to a TV repair shop to get it fixed out of pocket. The TV repair shop takes the new tv apart and tells you it had nothing to do with the DVD player, that it was a faulty tv.
NOW, do you really think Sony should fix your tv after it's all apart? All you had to do was take it to the "warranty service center" for first diagnosis.
Dave, I'm sorry to say this.. but you shafted yourself.
Not by modding your Corvette - but still expecting ANY engine warranty after extensive modifications like yours.
The problems/failures you mention have never been reported here (as far as I can remember) about stock LS1/LS6 GM engines.
We've all taken risks and modded our cars while still under warranty. And we all knew the risk of losing said warranty.
The only thing abnormal here is that you apparently still want shielded against the "risks" of modding during the warranty period. It's a bummer dude; but we can't have it both ways.
