hi, I have a 00' vette 6spd. I wanted to put exhaust on, but im not sure which ones. Which would yall recommend between Magnaflow, Corsa,Borla, & B&B? I dont want to spend alot of money, and I dont want something extremely loud and annoying. Anyone have soundclips?

As I have stated MANY MANY times before, each persons defination of loud or the "perfect system" is that persons opinion according to him. The system that he loves may be too mild for you! Or on the other hand, too loud!

My suggestion would be to find some C5 owners who have modified their exhaust system and take a ride with them! If you like it copy it!

There are many things that can change the way A muffler sounds on a car. For an example: I like you wanted the same exact thing! I have a 98 Coupe MN6 (stock) I purchased an 02 ZO6 and the exhaust note on that car was (at the time) "PERFECT" I wanted my 98 to sound like the Z. So,,,,,,,,,,,I purchased a set on 02 ZO6 Ti mufflers and stuck them on. I started it up an WTF? It sounded better but,, not like the Z. WHAT WENT WRONG?? The ZO6's cam, heads, manifolds, and cats are all different. My 98 sounds and looks MUCH better but, will not sound like the Z with just those mufflers.

I up graded the ZO6 with a complete Stainlessworks system. LT headers, Random tech cats, 3" stainless mid section with X pipe and 3" stainlesswork mufflers! The car flat rocks! It sounds so good (to me). It is not too loud, has very little resonance and made the car perform much better.

2001 A4 2.73 gears (stock exhaust) - zero resonance, beautiful idle, lovely growl at cruise and scare-the-pants-off-the-Ricer at WOT!!

Your mileage may vary, however. Others have complained of resonance at 1500-1800 RPM.

If you're not looking to be too loud and don't want to spend too much money, the A&A exhaust mod (little tubes welded in to bypass the muffler at full throttle) is a great value. At full throttle it's got to flow as good as the rest (or very close). After all, these cars come w/SS systems so I didn't want to buy another SS system.... I don't have the link, but do a search for this mod. Good luck.

stalker07, as most will tell you, it is a hard thing to advise because we all have different tastes. I just went through the same decision and bought Corsa Indy with Classic tips. IMO, great sound at idle and during accel. No resonance or popping on decel. Excellent quality and by the way, dead quiet at cruise.
