Default oil pump porting and blueprinting

Where is a good place to get a new oil pump ported and
blueprinted, and how much will that cost?

Thanks!

Lately the guys on ls1tech.com don't think the porting does anything. I know in theory it does, but in practice it seems like a waste of money. You didn't mention "ls6" anywhere, so it seems like you haven't been fooled by marketing tactics....all the new oil pumps in the ls1/ls6 are the same. If you want higher oil pressure, go ahead and shim it, and definitely install a new o-ring. Shimming it might be waste. Seems like a lot of people think oil pressure above 40 psi is excessive, doesn't make anything better, and would suck extra hp away. You can get the oil pump and o-ring on www.gmpartsdirect.com for around $80. FWIW, I'm getting a new oil pump from gmpartsdirect and I don't plan on shimming it. I already have an oil cooler, and eventually I'll have an Accusump. Basically I'm saying I care a lot about making sure my oiling system works probably, and I don't think a ported and shimmed pump is worth the hassle or money.

We sell two versions of the oil pumps:

Ported & Prepped - $125.00

Ported, Prepped & Coated - $155.00

They are just good insurance and you can also shim them to get higher oil pressure. Our's come unshimmed.

Give us a call if you need one.

Thanks
