From the photo in my post you can see that it is a complete bolt on system. You do not have to cut your stock system like some other brands.
You can keep your stock system completely intact with our headers and just bolt them up.
Any header that you choose will be an improvment over stock
But some improve more than others and some make power throughout the whole RPM range while others do not.
Have fun choosing what is right for you. You have to drive it.
Check Stainless Works - their customer service is great! I have their LTHs on my 02 with excellent results. Today I called them because I need 12 inches of stainless pipe [ only available locally in 10 foot lengths]. SW will send it out on Mon for $9.95 and they are really cheerful about it. Great Company and great products.
I'll chime in for SuperMaxx headers by Dynatech. Great quality, ability to hook up all four O2 sensors, no need to change your Air tube setup if your car is pre 2001, and complete system with gaskets, bolts, and the kitchen sink for around $1300 on sale. Also made completely of stainless steel. Great fit and easy installation!!
I am running the QTP header system myself. I think in the end you are going to find there are some great choices out there that are very high quality items. The Corvette community is very fortunate in this regard. You probably should make a list of what is important to you and then see which systems best fit what you are looking for. For example, are you installing yourself? Do you want all stainless construction? Where is your price point? Are you going to run Cats or Catless and what are your state's emission requirements? The list goes on and on. The best header system is the one that best meets your requirements.
It boils down to what your budget is. The Dynatech system is a great system that is of very high quality. We have installed them on alot of C5's and F-bodys without any issues. We have also installed the LG's. The LG system is an awesome system as well. Lou has proven his headers time and time again. But they are a little more then the Dynatechs. Those are the two systems that I recommend. Kaley
