and he said there is NO CARB approved intake system for the vette. Said you have to remove it to pass.period
So I guess if they all are NO PASSES, I may just go with the HALLTECH STINGER.
If anyone knows any verifiable info to the contrary please let me know. THANKS

The other two that may be C.A.R.B.-approved are the Calloway system and possibly, the Granatelli Super Ram system. Still, you save a least $100 by going with the Halltech and according to the latest law here in CA, your first smog check is due a full 6 years after you registered the car as new.

Go with the Stinger . Best overall "value", and easy enough to
"install/remove" (after 6 years) for the smog check .

Default I'm a little confused

I live in CA and I have to get a smog check ever other year. I have a 2000 C5. This 6-year law won't apply to my car, right?
Thanks

If you haven't received a smog check notice yet, you may have until 2006. You may want to check with the DMV or CA Bureau of Automotive Repair.
