Default QTP Debuts New LS1/LS6 Engine Part at PRI

At Quick Time Performance we like to come up with new and innovative parts for the LS1/LS6 world. The new part will debut at the PRI show this week. I dont want to let the cat out of the bag just yet. I will give a hint, this part does come in contact with oil

We are leaving for PRI in the morning so i will not be able to answer questions unless the hotel has the internet.

Ok here is a teaser pic

Or come to Indy!

2 piece timing cover eh? What's the price? Will it be competitive with the other 2 piece timing covers on the market at least?

'Bout time. I was about to start my own project (bought a spare) to do one. Since your's is already polished, put me on your list and charge my card.

Yeah, Nasty Performance came out with these almost a year ago. They don't sell too well though, because they are $275.

If this one's cheaper, and doesn't leak, I'll buy it.

Is it just a modified stocker or is it all new? It looks all new. Which tells me it is going to cost a lot

Supposed to make it easier to change cams. Not sure it makes it easy, but I think with the 2-piece the balancer and timing chain doesn't need to get removed. With a laid down radiator, I think the only thing that'd have to get removed is the alternator. If that's true, I'll be looking at buying another crashbar to modify. Still not sure about the steering rack tho.

Should be able to leave the steering rack in and pulley in place. That should cut cam time time by 2/3 I guess..

If I get one, I have to have it by mid-February to do along with my cam install, but I'll be happy to order a unit well before then.

Nope, didn't mean to imply that either design leaks
