Default LPE LS6 heads

Can anyonwe with these heads post their times? And also post what can you run with them. I called LPE today and they said the intake runners are 246cc's I dont have a 3,200lbs ZO6, so how do these heads perform. I have a stock cube WS6 with a A4. I do have a 3,600 stall converter but runners that big with hurt me big time. Bigger isn;t better. I cant see why they needed to port them so much. TEA and MTI has LS6 heads have a 220cfm runner and flow 320cfm. The LPE heads cant have any low end torque especially in a heavy car. Please help me with any results you guys have with these heads.

Thanks,
Den

With a small cam and stock LS6 heads I run as fast and as much hp as alot of similar set ups I see here with stage II (insert mfg here) heads and cam. I can only imagine that the LPE ported LS6 heads are that much better.

Maybe some others will chime in with some more specific info.

I have the LS6 CNC ported heads with 11.2 compression and a Cartek H-cam (113 LSA) which produces an average of 417-423/385-387 SAE RWHP/TQ at 6,000 and 5,000 rpms respectively in ridiculously hot & humid weather (95-85 degrees). I feel with more agressive LG Headers my hp and torque would be even higher.

I don't have all my dyno sheets handy, but I remember the H/C hp/tq curve duplicated my LS1 with Intake and Headers (untuned) until 3K-4K rpms where the thing jumped significantly and than continued to outpace my old RWHP of 311-315.

Also, I have the stock 2.66 first and 3.42 rear and I've never felt the need for gears or what I would percieve as a loss in low end. The 11.2 compression really gives it a lot of OOMF. Bogging it in 6-th gear below 1200 rpms seemed not much of a problem either, and it would pull out no problem. I also have a really good tune. Good Luck!
