I bought a Halltech Stinger for my 99 and having hood clearance issues. Its not really bad at all just have to close hood a little harder and the front lip of the hood raises just a little over the bumper. Most may not have noticed this when they installed thiers since is really minor.
Can someone with a Halltech Stinger see if their hood comes up a little over the front bumper? Should be smooth from bumper to hood.
I can probably cut the radiator top cover to make bridge set lower. But the Halltech says not cutting required.
I have that hood as well, but not installed. I heard that we need to use different hood hinges. If you are using stock, then maybe that is the problem, since the Stinger only weighs 13# the OEM hinges might be pushing back. Page Blacksun as he has it installed.
StevieB had the same issue, but he's been the only one that I've heard of with a problem. Have you tried playing with the throttlebody-to-smooth coupler and smooth coupler-to-airbridge couplings? If any of these couplings are not positioned just so (pushed in too far or not enough), the airbridge will sit up higher than normal. Also, make sure that the airbridge is not rotated.
