Same thing just happened to me. I just replaced mine a few months ago and that one has bit the dust. Got a new one that I'm gonna put in this weekend. Hope this one lasts longer than a few months.
Well, now my oil pressure is set at 120psi!!! I think it might be the weather change b/c today is one of the colder days we've had down here...started the car up for lunch and the oil pressure was pegged! Is this hurting the car at all? Is it worth replacing if the new one if its just gonna go bad?
LOL!!! I was just gonna post a question about this very thing, was leaving the gym about an hour ago and mine was pegged at 130psi! Figured it was the sensor but was gonna check here anyway.
Good luck guys! Gonna get mine fixed under warranty along with a list of other problems in a couple weeks.
I just had mine fixed at 21st century today cost me 1 hour labor.I supplied my own sensor. Now it works fine. The sad thing is I had them put a ls6 intake on three weeks ago. Note to self if you gonna pull the intake go ahead and replace the $40.00 part while you are there.

I wonder also if we just leave it like that.....would it be OK?
I ran mine like that for a couple months before changing it and installing a Z06 manifold. As soon as I fired it up, everything went back to normal. I used a unit I picked up from RockAuto.Com made by Standard Motor Products. I think it was a part number PS308. Don't quote me on the part number as that's just from memory. It's a quality piece made with a brass body and as I remember was a little less expensive than a Delco unit. I'm familiar with Standard's line of products and they are one of the better ones.
If your installing it yourself, be sure and use the correct size socket and use a torque wrench too. I think it uses a 22mm(?) as I recall.
BTW, be sure to check that the small vacuum hose at they rear of the manifold gets re-attached when you go to put it back on. HTH
