It started happening ever since I pulled my motor out last spring for upgrades. I clear the code every time I drive the car. It comes on after about 5-10 miles every trip. Really annoyning though. Just learned to live with it. I started pulling my motor again tonight for new 427 hopefully find something that would be cause of problem.

Great let me know if you find out anything, by the way is the 427 the way to go for a good engine swap?

1281 is the steering sensor. PM me if you would like me to email you instructions to fix it.

Since you had your engine out, you may have put your steering shaft in 180 degrees off and the sensor meay be OK. I think this will cause the problem.
