i just got my intake and I'm having a problem maybe someone can answer. Everything cam off easy and was pretty easy to put together EXCEPT on the rear left side of the new air throat there is a small hole. ( its close to the power steering fluid reservoir). Anyway, I am assuming you have to remove the sensor from the stock throat, It will not come off no matter what I do. Does anyone have any suggestions. It's a nightmare and I have always heard that this was an easy switch out. Any help would be appreciated.
prettty much had to beat the sh@t out of it with a pair of pliers. I can't imagine having to change this out every two years due to smog laws in California. Even though it appears to work fine, get a CARB approved system you don't have to F- with. Not worth my time.
"It took alittle elbow grease. You will need to carefully push and pry the IAT out of the rubber grommet it is in. Push it from the inside of the airbridge and then pry it from the outside using a flat screwdriver. You have to be careful not to pull it out to fast because the sensor can break. Once the IAT was out, you can then easily remove the rubber grommet and then reinstall it on the Stinger airbridge. Then you slide the IAT into the grommet."
Take your time and relax; I have confidence that it won't take that long.
