Default Need help PLEASE! 98 Conv, computer has gone CRAZY!!

Just got this car two weeks ago, only problem was service tire mon system warning. Took it to my local nationwide tech center, after examining my system, they determined my wheel sending units were bad. So we replaced them, now I got the horn chirp on the wheel and all programed, displays correct air pressure, Now the crazy part, as I am driving the service vehicle soon displays, next the security light comes on constant, then the check gauges comes on and the gauges all drop to the off position, of course the low fuel jumps in as well, then a few seconds later the yellow traction symbol lights, then the ABS lights up, and this whole time the car is running perfect. Any suggestions!!!! scarabexc@aol.com

Have you checked for the leaking battery acid problem?
This could be a symptom.
I can't think of anything else.

My vert did that when I bought it. I had a loose connection in the pass. side door. There are 2 wiring harnes' that go from the door to the computer inside the rubber accordian piece. I would start jiggling the wires while the key is on and someone is activating the power window. If it stops working while playing with the wires, that's your problem. Your losing the connection while driving or someone opens or closes the door and the computer goes crazy. For me, I zip tied the connector together and it has not happened since. I hope it's clear, feel free to p.m. me with a phone number, I could explain it better live.

I also had the same problem in my 99 coupe. Turned out to also be a loose connection on the passenger side door. I lost AC and ability to roll up windows, turn onlights and every other electrical thing you can think of. Car ran fine though.

Thanks for the tips, I will give the door wiring harnesses an inspection, Another symptom is it seems to happen after approx 15 mins, prior to that everything is fine, it always seems to be 15 mins into the drive. As far as the dealer option, I have been very dissapointed with the dealers here in Austin, TX. For example, I took it into one dealer because my power seat track would not work, the guy called and asked if I was sitting down because all the motors in the track were bad, $1000.00 he says, WOW!!! Then I informed him, I had moved the track to the passenger side and it was fine, the problem I told him was the large orange wire going to the track had no power. They found a blown breaker and charged me $225.00, I could go on, but that's the problem with the dealers here, they really don't seem to understand Corvettes.
