Default How much is my motor worth?

Heres the deal. I don't know a whole lot about this. I mentioned to a friend that it would be cool to sell my motor and get a forged one, maybe bigger cubes, and spray a big shot of nitrous. He said he knows someone who might be interested in buying my motor for a project he's doing. I said mention it to him and see what he says. He got back to me and said the dude is interested in buying my whole motor, intake to oil pan. He asked how much I want for it. What would be a fair price? Would this be worth while? Would I be able to upgrade to anything worth while if I did this? What kind of price am I looking at. I would like to do something like a 408. Heres what I have:

99 FRC
Stock motor
35k miles
runs perfect, no problems

It would depend what the engine had on it. If it's just the block and heads, you probably wouldn't get much more than $1,500. Might get up to $2,500.

What would the whole motor be worth? Intake to oil pan.

What would just the block with bottom end be worth?

I sold my 2001 very quickly with about 20,000 miles with all accessories (p/s, a/c comp., water pump, alt.) for $2,000.

You will need most of those accessories on the new one. I've seen guys make the mistake before. All the little pieces will nickle and dime you to death.
