Well first thing I would do is take it back and have them put the right engine in it.

The engine you have is an LS1. Probably start with a intake such as the Black Wing then have it tuned with LS1 edit. Maybe throw on some headers and high flow cats with exhaust.

the car in your profile does not even have a LT1, its a L98 and this is the C5 area LS1-LS6

50Hp........how much do you want to spend? Do you want to stay emission legal? A cam and headers & tune will get you there.

Air intake, long tube headers and dyno tune should get you 35-40 HP extra, at the rear wheels.

Dyno tune is the Key here.

Throw a set of 3;73's in the rear. It will feel like you added 100 horsepower.

Who really cares what a dyno says? Will the car, push you back in the seat? Isn't that all that really matters?

Anyone have a ballpark idea of cost to throw a set of 3;73's in the rear?

This is easy - FLP longtube headers/high flow cats, Blackwing and a tune - you are there

I suggest you give phil at DTE a phone call. I believe my cost for a 3:73 a 2800 yank TC, 160 thermo, and a dyno tune was around 3500.00.

You wouldn't have to do the dyno tune, nor would you have to do the Yank TC.

What made me like this mod, was that i have the feel of a high horsepower engine upgrade, but didn't have to break the seal on my 2004 engine. For what ever reason, that was a BIG deal to me.

Thanks for everyone's help.

It looks like headers and a small cam increase and tune?

what kind of tune? At a dingo? Or a computer tune that I buy.
