Wires?
Since the spark plug wires are so short, does it do anything to help, changing them, unless they are cracked or broken.

NOPE!! If they are in good shape and are not causing RFI with your AM radio, I would leave them alone! Your not going to get an performance gains from changing out good functioning wires with better ones!
