Default Air Dam Screen

I'm on my way to Home Depot to get some screen material to make a cover to protect the radiator. Has anyone actually measured this and made an actual template? If not, I'll do it and post pics and info. Thanks.

I did but unfortunately I tok the pics down...just a little FYI there are lots of people here who would rather spend the $$$ than DIY so expect lots of about that...personally I think a mod for under $20 you can do yourself is a good thing....good luck and have fun

I'm planning on doing this today too, so a template sure will be helpful.

Well guys, I put her up on the ramps and took measurements, created a mechanical drawing, fabricated a cardboard model and bolted it onto the car. It fits perfectly, however there is a slight problem that I need to resolve. When I installed it, there is interference with the center air dam. Normally there's no problem and the screen would fit fine, but assuming you drive over a speed bump or a driveway, the center air dam will pivot putting upwards pressure on the screen. I'm not sure how others have solved this problem unless they do one of two things: (1) shorten the screen leaving a 2 or 3 inch gap at the rear near the radiator so the air dam will not interfere, or (2) trim the top of the center air dam to clear the screen. Anyone solve this problem yet? Anyone wanting a copy of my drawings is welcome to email me...I'd be glad to share. Stay tuned for more refinements and final solution.

Mine fit tight as well however I have had no problems with speed bumps etc. and my car is lowered....you would have to hit something significant for it to cause and issue. FWIW mine has been on 9 months now

Did you buy it or make your own? Does it extend all the way to the radiator frame? Thanks for the info.

If you attach it at the sides, but leave it open and unattached behind the air valance, won't the valance have space to move , yet keep stuff out. Could you please send me a copy of your drawings? Thanks!
