Default Problem with Kirban Shifter

Recently my Kirban has not always wanted to go all the way into second. It is not every time but happens often. I will put it into second under normal driving conditions and it feels like it goes in but pops out. During spirited driving and a recent trip to the drag strip, there are not problems. Has anybody experienced similar issues with their Kirban? It has been in for a couple years but the problem seemed to start a couple months after I had a Z06 clutch installed. Thanks for the help.

My Kirban works great! Something that might help. Change your tranny fluid out with Mobile 1 synthitic. It significantly improved my shift feel.
There is also a shift rod zero adjustment that you can do. I will have to do a search and see if i can find it!

Kal-El I experienced the same thing in 1st... Hit and miss, sometimes it would be fine, and others (Ussualy once in 20) it would pop out of first as I was pulling out at a stoplight... I adjusted the stop out MUCH further than the instructionc called for and now I have no issues... These M6 trannies have internal stops, which really defeat the need for those adjustable stops...

The tranny might have internal stops but that won't stop you from damaging the tranny. I blew up two sets of synchros with the stock shifter and the dealer finally told me to put a short throw on it to cure the problem. I put a kirban on it and I haven't had any trouble since. I did have to readjust the bolts a little bit after about 10k miles. Mine was doing the same that yours is. It solved the problem.
