We all agreed to do what we did, including my driving 3 hrs one way, gas expense, car rental, room rental and wear and tear on my car and my time. I guess that's free. The parts were'nt.
Everyone bent over backwards to make it work, I don't deny it, never have, never will.
I don't remember coming out on this forum and saying don't use L.A.P.D.'s services. I still have'nt and I won't.
Someone suggested that I buy the EASE and scan my car to see for myself, I did, there were problems. Am I dissappointed, sure. How many times would you say my car has been tuned?
If everyone's tunes are perfect, then why the fear of scanning to make sure??
Yes, I touted my previous experiences with L.A.P.D., but I've found someone who has got my car running the best that I know of, and after one tune. I would think you would be happy to hear it.
Why is that such a bad thing??
I'm a good guy when I'm saying I'm happy, but now I'm a bad guy because I'm not??

My best and Happy New Years to you and L.A.P.D. Charlie

Stan, from LAPD’s perspective we have zero issue with you or anyone else scanning their cars. However, your statement regarding scanning is both inflammatory and does little more than spread disinformation; especially so when you consider that, in fact, we gave you the tools to accurately scan and diagnose your car. Why did you forget to mention that?

Any issues you have about being a happy/unhappy customer will always be an issue with me but I cannot possibly be expected to react to things not communicated to me. ALSO, I have issues with your “support” when it is primarily driven through off-line channels such as PM’s and other “under the radar” mechanisms and directly to me. I don’t know what good your behavior serves in this regard other than avoiding any possibility for LAPD to defend itself.

LAPD will proudly continue to publish their results of our business growth, R&D efforts, sales events, and yes, if needed, apologies for mistakes. However, if you continue to hijack threads with innuendo and disinformation - expect a confrontation. I hope that any further discussions, gripes, grievances, etc. are communicated directly to me.

Stan, all of us at LAPD wish you and your family a happy and healthy New Year.

Respectfully,

Shawn

Heres your opportunity to defend yourself:

1. I'm not sure what tools you provided me other than your tuning and dyno facilities. I bought my own scanner.

2. How many times was my car tuned, were you not there, you still have'nt responed to that.

3. The last tune was when I scanned my car and found the problems

4. So, you're saying the GM EASE scanner is giving me mis-information about the active control being disabled because my torque mgmnt was set way to high, the rev limiter set at 7000rpm when I was told it was 6800 rpm and the misfire codes are all wrong, not to mention the knock retard turned off
We have spoke several times in the past on the phone about my stock injectors and the connects to the Halltech Trap that you assured me Al would take care of and send me, I have yet to see them. That's why I have'nt phoned you. What's the point?

Shawn, you are right and I'm wrong.
From now on, I'll post in a public manor my satisfaction with my tuning results when responding to anyone's question regarding, "who's a good tuner, where can I get my car tuned etc." and they can think for themselves. But, when they ask who, what, where and when, I won't lie.
Is that ok with you??
You can have the last word as this does none of us any good. I'm sorry I've made myself apart of this... my opoligies to all, including you and your staff at L.A.P.D.

Very respectfully, and my Best to your new baby Shawn

You were very pleased to have the use of our "LS1 Edit - Ease Analysis" tool … and you wasted no time in using it to analyze and then transfer results to our tuner. Wait, it gets better because the analysis of the data and the adjustments were always done free of charge, on the dyno and off. Stan, I think you wore out one set of our rollers

2. How many times was my car tuned, were you not there, you still have'nt responed to that.

In a very naive effort to be your "everything" we allowed you to show up, mainly un-announced, and roll that puppy over and over and over; my bad, but never again

I count 87 dyno pulls and believe me, that's easily 67 too many in our book. But, and foolishly so, we believed that you really appreciated the endless support and attention that we lavished on you and just as naively we believed that our efforts would translate into future biz.

In hindsight, it is painfully clear that we both had unrealistic expectations. We gave away the store and you pontificated in PM's. Stan, honestly, what do you hold as currency and valuable in return?

Stan, could you run your biz by giving lifetime refills, food below cost and hold reservations for anyone that ever crossed your threshold!

3. The last tune was when I scanned my car and found the problems

Was that after you changed the TB and had the valve springs replaced? It left our dyno as strong as ever (439 RWHP / 408 RWT correct me if I am wrong ) Why not roll that monster now and publish the improved numbers, an objective measurement, rather than a subjective “feeling” or Ease trace that manipulates a transducer to HP?

4. So, you're saying the GM EASE scanner is giving me mis-information about the active control being disabled because my torque mgmnt was set way to high, the rev limiter set at 7000rpm when I was told it was 6800 rpm and the misfire codes are all wrong, not to mention the knock retard turned off

How can I dispute what you just typed? It's a free society and can say or repeat anything you want. However, you can disassemble any of the hundreds of tunes we've done and you won't find the KR disabled so it’s very easy for me to tell you that I don’t believe it.

Well, at least you admit you haven't communicated with me and rest assured, if we owe you anything, you will receive it.

Stan, I suggest you do whatever you care to do - it’s a free society. I will do what I need to do in order to protect my business, my name and my employees - and any defamation or character assassinations will be responded to with all the power I can bring to bear.

Apology accepted, let's move on. I am not one to hold or harbor ill feelings as life is too short and negativity only adds a burden

Happy New Year,

Thanks for the compliments! We try to make our shop look better than other shops and dealerships. I couldn't get the entire shop and other Vettes in the picture. We will have another lift added very shortly and then I will try and get an updated pic in our sig.

Thanks again!
