Default fuel rail covers idea

ok i have a bulk amount of z06 screen matierial
got to thinking what i can do with it and got an idea
basically im thinking of cutting the stock fuel rail covers
the whole 5.7 logo long and probably another section (approximately the same lenth as the 5.7 logo with stripes long and about half of the height of the fuel rail cover)and putting in zo6 screen matierial on the underside of it to fill the holes
so what do you think
dont want to waste a good set of fuel rail covers
ill try to post a pic of what im talking about to clear up any confusion

IMO I don't think it would enhance your engine compartment. It looks sharp the way you have it, smooth and clean. I have a feeling your getting antsy to do something, how about adding a little color? Some red lettering and hoses? Again, just my opinion

I like to see it, but IMO, No, they look nice like that, if you want to enhance the look, paint them and change the lettering or even have them air brushed.

I think thats a cool idea. I thought about just cutting out the letters and laying screen under them....this also would allow heat to pass through that IMO is trapped under there. Cant wait to see some finished pics.

I think that is a unique idea. What color are your fuel rail covers now. Stock color, or painted something else?

haters not initiators thats ok im kinda thinking myself it will look ricey as well
kinda reluctant to cut up stock fuel rail covers without another set to put back in case it looks like $hit
anyone have any donors
its probably gonna be a week b4 i can do them as its about 34 degrees for the high the next couple of days
34 isnt cold for you northerners but 34 here is about equivalent to 15 where you all are compared to us (100% humidity plus cold equals freezing)

gmosley;
I said I was only kidding,
Anyway back within the past year there was a custom set on a car in Corvette Fever Mag.
I think there were 3 square openings in each cover, didn't look too bad. You might want to research it.
