Default Running without HVAC control

If the HVAC control (dual zone) is removed, does the car throw codes? Is any other system impacted?

If codes are thrown, can the feature be turned off?

I'm hoping some of you who use your car as a dedicated race car can answer this.

the car runs fine it will just throw the HVAC communication code. no big deal it's like pulling your radio out.

Is this an actual code on the DIC?

Removing my radio did not cause a code

Thanks

the code will show up only if you go to the menu and scroll through the codes. it will not appear on the DIC when you turn the car on. IF you scroll through the codes and get to HVAC, you notice either a c for current or H for history. Likely the code with show the number and then a c next to it. But it wont affect anything. Email me if you would like to sell your AC controller as the light has burned out in mine and I need a new one. jaugerinos@aol.com

Cool. Thank you for the offer. Actually, I'm toying with the idea of replacing the unit. I've installed an in dash PC with various data acquisition and control stuff, and integrating the HVAC into the touchscreen gives me a little more room.

Something to work on i guess
