Default Possible new C5 purchase

What things should I look for when inspecting a possible purchase of a C5? Any special items I need to pay carefull attention to? Thanks in advance.

Look for battery acid under the battery!!! The lead-acid batterie are notorious for leaking and guess what's underneath........the Powertrain Control Module (PCM), wiring harness, and vacuum tubing to operate HVAC controls. Get a CarFax run in the "C5s for Sale" section. Just ask and provide the VIN and there are members that will be happy to run it for you. There are other minor issues (recalls fixed, etc.), but I'm sure others will chime in.

Welcome to the forum!

P.S. do a search on my name for other posts.....I've posted in other threads similar to yours (requesting info before buying) and you can get info from those posts.

look for a leaky differential. In addition, look for a leaky transmission where the trans meets the diff. Also, sit in the drivers seat and test to see whether or not the drivers seat rocks forwards and backwards.
